It's Snowing in the Greenhouse

Here it is the day of our Christmas Open House and its snowing outside. We have about 6 or 7 inches of snow on the ground.

It makes travel a bit difficult

The temperature is dropping even more

And visibility isn't too good.

We weren't sure if anyone would come to our open house.

But we decided to have it anyway. Here are a few of our guests gathered around the stove.

Everyone is enjoying the Christmas goodies we have to eat and drink.

I had to go out in the weather to get more ice.

I can't believe we have so much snow and it is even snowing out in the greenhouse. We have a couple of spots that haven't been patched yet since the big hail storm.
The poor plants weren't expecting such a cold blanket.
Oh well, the good news is that snow is a very good source of nitrogen for the garden.
I hope all of you mulched your beds well for the winter.

If you are out and about be sure to stop and see us!
Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!

  1. Hi James, You weren't joking about snow in the greenhouse. Sorry to hear it but it made for a pretty picture.
