Container Plantings

Around Mother's Day we get really busy at the Feed And Seed Barn. We create lots of container plantings for our customer's to buy and some are for display to give our customers ideas for container plant combinations. I thought I would share a few with you from this past week.
We use a variety of perennials, annuals, groundcovers and grasses in our containers. It is important to put plants that have similar needs in the same container such as all sun loving or all shade loving plants.

We like to put Cedar mulch over the soil in our containers. This makes it look nice, keeps the soil more moist and the cedar also helps to keep bugs away.

It is important to use good quality potting soil in your containers. We use Miracle Grow Potting Mix which contains enough fertilizer for 3 months.

We use many different types of containers and we offer a large variety of containers for sale.

We sell all of the items you need for container plantings in our store which includes the containers, potting soil, plants, mulch, and fertilizer.

We will gladly ship any of your container needs including plants.

We hope you will get a chance to visit us if you are in the area.
